First time I’m seeing a coach actually encourage a player to hog the ball. Just pass it to your main playmakers, nobody wants to watch a CB smother the play. If the CB has no viable passing options it means his teammates are slacking instead of opening up lanes and that’s not on him but turn it to the side or punt it forward to the attackers.
